Queensland Airports Limited CEO Chris Mills said the airport team was liaising closely with authorities following news of Townsville Airport being identified as a low-risk contact site.

“We will follow any direction provided by Queensland Health and the Queensland Government in relation to Townsville Airport,” he said.

Anyone who visited Townsville Airport between 12.15pm and1.15pm Thursday 24 June or 12.18pm to 1.18pm Sunday 27 June has been advised by Queensland Health to:

• get tested
• quarantine at home until you receive a negative result if experiencing symptoms
• continue to monitor for symptoms, and if you become symptomatic, get tested and isolate until receiving a negative result.
