Have Your Say on Townsville Airport's Draft Masterplan
Townsville Airport is inviting locals to have their say on the Draft 2023 Townsville Airport Masterplan in an upcoming community consultation meeting.
The Draft 2023 Townsville Airport Masterplan, which outlines the strategic vision and growth objectives of the Airport precinct over the next twenty years, is due to be released for public consultation early next month. To encourage community engagement around the Masterplan, Townsville Airport has opened up its Community Aviation Consultation Group (CACG), a forum which has traditionally been invitation only.
From 19 April 2023, when the next CACG meeting takes place, any Townsville resident who wants to have their say on the Airport’s future is invited.
Townsville Airport General Manager Brendan Cook said the meeting is a chance for the community to ask questions, provide feedback and be a part of the conversation around the Townsville Airport precinct.
“It’s important to us that local residents and interested parties are actively involved in the Airport’s decision-making process around the future development of the precinct and how it’ll support the community for years to come,” he said.
“We are committed to meaningful and transparent community engagement which is essential to ensure we deliver improved airport services, and planning and development in line with our community’s ambitions.”
