Over the next week, travellers passing through Townsville Airport will be treated to a number of exciting giveaways and activations throughout the terminal.

Initiatives include present drops on the baggage carousel, parking and retail giveaways, and live entertainment.

Chief Operating Officer Kevin Gill said the airport wanted to give its Christmas visitors a positive first and last impression.

“Christmas is generally a busy time of year for most, and travelling over this period can add stress to people’s lives,” said Mr Gill.

“Our aim is to leave a smile on as many faces as possible, and we believe that by surprising and delighting our passengers with giveaways and live performances, we will achieve just this!

“Activations will range from performances from the North Queensland Warriors cheerleaders – to donut giveaways.”

The Christmas initiative will run from the 12th December to the 24th December.
